Vancouver, British Columbia – August 2025 – Black & White Zebra (BWZ), the media-tech company behind brands like The Digital Project Manager and People Managing People, today announced the appointment of Tim Fisher as Vice President of AI. Fisher will lead BWZ’s company-wide AI strategy and operations, embedding AI across the business to amplify creativity, accelerate workflows, and make BWZ’s brands the go-to authority where AI meets work.

With more than two decades of experience at the crossroads of technology, editorial, and AI, Fisher brings a proven track record of building innovative systems at scale. Most recently, he served as SVP of AI Operations at People Inc. (formerly Dotdash Meredith), where he spearheaded the adoption of generative AI across a global portfolio, driving efficiencies, audience growth, and new revenue opportunities. Earlier in his career, Fisher launched and scaled Lifewire, transforming it into a top 10 technology site and one of the most recognized names in digital publishing. His work has been cited by The New York Times, Forbes, Scientific American, and leading technology companies including Intel, Adobe, and Cisco.

“BWZ exists to help people win at work, and Tim’s leadership in AI supercharges that mission,” said Ben Aston, Founder & CEO of BWZ. “He understands how to use AI not just to optimize workflows, but to create original, defensible content and experiences that make us indispensable to professionals navigating the AI era.”

“We’re at a once-in-a-generation moment where AI is rewriting how organizations operate and how audiences connect with ideas,” said Tim Fisher. “AI isn’t about replacing creativity—it’s about multiplying it. At BWZ, my mission is to embed AI in ways that free people to do their best work, create content that no one else can, and shape a future where our brands set the standard for how AI meets work and leadership.”

Fisher will be responsible for leading BWZ’s AI transformation internally and telling the story externally through podcasts, writing, and events across the company’s professional media brands. His focus will be on embedding AI into BWZ’s content, adtech, and audience products while also creating proprietary AI-driven tools and microservices that deliver unique value to professionals navigating the future of work.

This appointment builds on BWZ’s mission to help people win at work. With over 15 million professionals reached annually and recognition as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, BWZ continues to invest in new ways to combine editorial authority, community, and AI innovation to drive impact for its audiences and partners.
