Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of People Operations, you will work closely with key stakeholders to recruit and hire high performing individuals that align with BWZ’s beliefs, values and practices.

  • You have extensive experience with outbound recruitment and recruitment strategy
  • You’re a creative problem solver, adept at sourcing candidates from untapped sources
  • You are able to prioritize tasks with little to no supervision based on the needs of the business and your individual KPI’s and goals
  • You are a people person – you love meeting new people, finding out what makes them tick and getting them engaged and excited about BWZ
  • You are super organized and efficient

What you'll be doing

  • Outbound recruitment for full time employees and contractors, with a focus on content hires – subject matter experts, editors, writers and contributors
  • Manage the inbound recruitment pipeline and respond to candidates in a timely manner
  • Post new jobs on external job posting sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and iterate on job postings when necessary to ensure we are hitting the desired target audience
  • Use Calendly to schedule all the interview rounds with the hiring managers
  • Ensure candidates are kept “in the loop” and are receiving timely communication/updates on their status in the recruitment process
  • Administer the take home assignments and online assessments for candidates
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Keep the ATS up to date and organized
  • Communicate new job postings internally to facilitate sharing with internal networks
  • Assist with additional administrative People Ops duties as requested

  • Time to fill a role
  • Number of candidates that pass probationary period
  • Management of ATS (timely responses, organization, etc.)

Your skillset

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Deep knowledge of recruitment in content and media

Nice to haves

  • Previous experience in a fast scaling start-up
  • Previous experience recruiting in the Digital Media/Publishing space
