Job Brief:
We are currently looking for an experienced Controller to be responsible for the full accounting department. You will be doing everything from recording banking transactions to closing and presenting the monthly financial results. You will be reporting to the executive level and will have oversight and guidance to help you deliver what is expected of you. This is an opportunity that will allow you to grow within our company and eventually recruit and lead the financial team.

What you'll be doing:
- Manage the operations of all accounting services
- Ensure the accuracy of the Company’s financial results
- Complete the month end process each month on a timely basis
- Prepare consolidated financial results
- Prepare and present full financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Prepare accounting memorandums to support the accounting treatment of complex revenue recognition transactions, as well as any other complex transactions
- Manage foreign exchange risk and accurate reporting in a multi-currency environment
- Develop financial reports for management
- Proactively manage cash flows and communicate capital requirements to management
- Conduct meaningful and proactive analysis to improve key business decisions
- Assist in the annual budget process and monitor performance against budgets
- Effectively manage banking, tax and audit relationships
- Manage and comply with all sales tax filings in jurisdictions the Company operates in
- Manage the corporate income tax filings
- Manage the HR functions for payroll and benefits

- Timeliness of monthly reporting
- Ability to identify waste in the business through financial analysis
- Financial KPI’s
Your skillset includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a CPA, or equivalent, accounting designation
- 5 years experience full cycle accounting
- Entrepreneurial spirit: self-starter and proactive
- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing business conditions and priorities
- Excellent Excel modelling and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience creating financial statements and reports for management, board members, and other stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues
- Proficiency and comfort with web based technologies, Google G Suite and accounting software
